Project examples:

• Caserne 16 – Installation of temporary supports to uphold the slab of the firehouse as it was not able to hold the weight of their new fire truck.

• University of Montreal – Installation of temporary supports to stabilize the roof of the university at the level of the boiler room.

• RDS CTV – Shoring to allow the company to bring a generator of 20 000 lbs inside the building.

• Olympic Stadium of Montreal – Collapse of a portion of the parking. Installation of a temporary roof to close the hole, using a huge prefabricated 60' x 40’ panel that was installed over the hole with a mobile crane.

• Verdun auditorium – Installation of temporary supports under the slab supporting the machines.

• CHUM – Development of temporary supports to hold the bridge between the two buildings of the CHUM.

• Highway 720 – Installation of 9 000 shoring frames to support the raised structure of Highway 720 in Montreal during the rebuilding work. The supported loads were heavier than 320 kN/m, which represents the entire weight of the structure itself and of traffic during rush hours, in addition to the vibrations caused by heavy vehicles.

• Paccar – Temporary support of the Sainte-Thérèse plant roof during the steel column replacement work.

INSTALLATION OF WORK PLATFORMS

Universelle Rental carries out, among others, the construction of work platforms for major international motion picture productions in addition to construction projects.

Project examples:

• TD Bank – Installation of a highly safe work platform with a visible appearance for building maintenance without disrupting the work of the bank employees, done by a night crew.

• Bell Canada – Construction of a work platform at a height of more than 30,5 meters (100’) for the construction of a glass atrium.
